gallery project 2012
For the past few years, an inspired designer at our company has organized a gallery event for artists within the company to showcase their work. The challenge is for participants to create three pieces within a six-month period to be displayed in the atrium area of our building for a week. For the past couple, I've talked myself out of it. But this time madness took over, and I decided to go for it. And when I came across a discarded mannequin torso outside of a shop, it became the inspiration for my project (along with the gents of DC and Marvel). I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, especially since I don't generally make time for painting...maybe I will now! (I also displayed some comic pages, which I hope to turn into a short webcomic one day, so those I'll save for later.)
Bonus points if you can name everyone. (I think there are 27...)

august 2012
Related to hair and pens, I must say that learning how to fix my hair in a bun using only a pen or pencil is one of the greatest discoveries of all time.

july 2012
We were so afraid it was an inadvertent coincidence, and that after a lifetime of schoolyard teasing, any mention of the great Captain Picard would make Jean-Luc hate us all...
Luckily he's a Trekkie like the rest of us ^^
I can only hope my own future children will be as good humored about their inevitable geek names...
